Bike Songs
March 23, 2007After finding the Bike Rock Music artist I was thinking about the 70’s band Queen and the words “I want to ride my bicycle” started echoing in my brain. I began to wonder how many bike related songs actually exist. Thanks to the internet and Good Search search engine here is my list so far. Feel free to add comment with additions if you know of any. I can’t personally vouch for the validity of all these songs, but you are welcome to find them and let me know if any of them need to be deleted from this list.

That’s a heck of a list. Perhaps Sanjaya will sing one of them.
Its not specifically about cycling, per se, but I draw the conclusion in my mind. “Ride” by Robert Earl Keen.
“As long as these wheels keep rolling, I’ll be satisfied, I’m gonna ride, ride, ride.”
Great song.
It’s not about bicycling per se … but in my mind it’s inextricably linked to bicycling.
Rain Drops Keep Falling On My Head by Burt Bacharach (from the movie “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid).
But that might be too much of a stretch … especially if you haven’t seen the movie.

That was a great movie, can’t imagine anyone not having seen it. I never hear “Rain Drops” without visualizing the bicycle scene. It deserves a place on the list. Maybe a sub category would be appropriate – Cycling by association.
“Let me Die” by Trey Anastasio is another great bike song.
